Family Medical Leave Act(FMLA)

 

 

 

 

 

 A federal law passed in 1993 which provides job protection for up to twelve weeks of unpaid leave per year when you need to take time off due to a "serious health condition", the "serious health condition" of certain family members, the birth of a child or care of your newborn, or the adoption or placement of a child.
